Group course | Children and teens group course

Espace Vertical partner since 2002, we provided, during school terms, indoor group-climbing lessons for children aged 5 to teenagers. Supervision is done by highly experienced instructors, all of which have the required licence from the state.

We favour limited groups organized by age range. This allows us to adapt the contents of the sessions to the maturity of the participants. Emphasis will be placed on safety, pleasure and autonomy. At the same time, we will improve motor skills through fun exercises, allowing progression, using the routes and boulders.

Our group climbing lessons take place on the walls of Espace Vertical Grenoble or St-Martin-d'Hères, but also, sometimes (on proposal, with your agreement) on the boulders of the Labo (for teenagers). You can subscribe for 1 term (10 sessions) or for the full year (30 sessions). At the end of the year, additional and optional outdoor rock-climbing sessions will be on offer to discover the activity on natural sites.

5/7 years old: Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (6-7 years) OR Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - 6 children maximum per group

8/10 years old: Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. OR Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR Saturdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 8 children maximum per group

10/12 years old: Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. OR Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. OR Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - 8 children maximum per group

13/17 years old: Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. OR Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. OR Fridays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. OR Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR Saturdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 8 teens maximum per group.

Teen advanced training group: Fridays 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Espace Vertical Grenoble (EV3) or Tuesdays at St Martin d'Hères (EV4), for the most motivated of 13-17 year olds ! Intended only for autonomous in belaying and leading climbers. This group will be composed of 8 to 12 participants.

No classes during school holidays in zone A (except for the first Saturday of every break), nor on public holidays.

Prices 2023/2024:

• 1 term (10 sessions): €158 + €75 entries
• The year (30 sessions): €381 + €225 for entries or Espace Vertical year pass (see options below)

Advanced course for teenagers (3 hours):

• 1 term (10 sessions): €169 + €75 entries
• The year (30 sessions): 414 + €225 entries or Espace Vertical year pass (see options below)

Espace Vertical year pass

For children and teenagers who come to practice at the gym in addition to classes, it is possible to buy, when subscribing to a course, an Espace Vertical year pass allowing them to come to the gym independently (read carefully the conditions of access for minors to the rooms) at a discounted rate: EV year pass (Grenoble + St Martin d'Hères): €368.10 (or €252 for children up to 11 years old) or 3-gym year pass (EV Grenoble + St Martin d'Hères + Le Labo) : €446.40 for above 12 years old.

NB: any subscription for one term requires renewing the online subscription and payment for each of the following terms, depending on the remaining available places.

Financial help : we accept ANCV Sports Coupons and the Tattoo Isère card, but not the region card, nor the sports pass from the Ministry of Sports.
